10 Anime Openings You Can Not Skip (Even If You Tried!)
There is always that amazing anime opening that you watch every episode because you never want to skip it. A good opening to any show gets you excited for every episode. When you have a good opening, it gets you excited for the anime as well. When you hear that opening song it reminds you of the show you love and memories of when you watch/ed it. Welcome, The Daily Fandom fans to the top ten anime openings list!
“Abnormalize” is the opening from the show Psycho-Pass. The Japanese rock band, Ling Tosite Sigure, performs the song.
“Abnormalize” is a really good opening and makes you feel the chaotic world that this show takes place in. It starts out at a normal speed, then builds up to a faster chorus. This opening is one you will not want to pass.
“History Maker” is the opening for Yuri!!! On Ice,Dean Fujioka performs it. This is probably one of the most recognizable openings on my list since it went viral when the anime premiered.
The song is so good, and it is a great opening for the show. It energizes you and gets you excited! It makes you think you can do anything and really pumps you up. “History Maker” makes you want to go out on the ice and become a professional ice skater!
“Treacherous Sunset” is the first opening for Durarara!! and Theatre Brook performs it. This opening plays for episodes 1 through 12.5.
This song goes great with the show. It really resonates well with the chaotic world the anime is set in. From the punchy drum beat in the beginning to the tempo picking up in the chorus, “Treacherous Sunset” has many elements, like the show itself.
“Unravel” is the first season opening for the anime series Tokyo Ghoul. TK from the band Ling Tosite Sigure performs it. The opening runs for episodes 1 through 12.
This opening is heartbreaking, especially if you have seen the whole series. “Unravel” starts out slow and keeps building up tempo to this heart-wrenching conclusion. It sounds like someone is crying out for help, which Kaneki tries to do throughout the first season.
“Seishun Kyosokyoku,” also known as “Rhapsody of Youth,” is the fifth opening for Naruto. The Japanese rock band Sambomaster performs it. This opening plays for episodes 104 through 128.
The fifth opening, “Rhapsody of Youth,” played during the “Sasuke Retrieval” Arc and is one of my favorite Naruto openings. This is a sad but uplifting song, going very well with the arc itself. This opening also happens to be a childhood favorite of mine.
“The Hero!! Set Fire to the Furious Fist” is the opening theme of One Punch Man. The band JAM Project performs this piece.
“The Hero!! Set Fire to the Furious Fist” is such a good fighting song. (I mean the name speaks for itself.) It makes you want to get up and punch all your problems in the face. The opening pumps you up the whole time it plays. This is an opening no one can skip!
“Tank” is an opening for the anime Cowboy Bebop. Yoko Kanno composed the song, and The Seatbelts performed it.
For many of us, this is a very nostalgic opening. It comes from one of the most popular anime of all time. “Tank” is just amazing, with its funky jazz tunes and Latin style. The song was obviously composed and played by very talented musicians. This opening goes well with the show’s tone and is one of the best!
Lastly, in my opinion, and the best anime opening is “Again.” “Again” is the first opening for the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Yui performs it. This opening plays through episodes 1 through 14.
“Again” is one of the best anime openings. Yui is such a good singer, and the instruments are simple but powerful. It starts out with her just singing with a little bit of piano and guitar in the background. Then, it hits you harder with the other instruments and goes back and forth between soft and hard instruments. Just hearing it brings me back to Ed and Alphonse’s journey and all the heartbreak that the show brings.
