Modern Aliens Mockumentary: “It Would Be Funny, If It Wasn’t So Plausible”

Satirical true crime series Modern Aliens investigates political events that might or might not be related to alien conspiracies.

If you’re a bit tired of the current US political events and need to take a break, mockumentary Modern Aliens: A Documentary Periodical might be an excellent way to do that. Written by NY based writer and director Jordan Jaffe, Modern Aliens uses comedy and news, and orients each episode around “a batshit crazy event that has occurred in our true, not made up, genuine news cycle.”

Modern Aliens explores disgraced (if that’s even possible) conservative pundit Tomi Lahren’s complete disappearance from the media landscape – about the alleged ‘Bowling Green Massacre’ – was it an alien plot? Could she have been abducted? Speaking of aliens, did you know that Drumpf was born on the same day as the Roswell crash?”

Modern Aliens is based on found footage and interviews that help support the idea of alien intervention in our modern political world. Is it just a coincidence that Donald Trump was born on the same day as the Roswell crash? Could the Comey notes prove the existence of extraterrestrial life? These are some of the questions the series tries to answer. As entertainment, the series offers “true crime, aliens, dramatic scene change music, and a firm tongue in cheek approach to the conspiracy theory genre.”
