The New Buffy The Vampire Slayer Series Coming Soon…

We are going back to the beginning of Buffy. An acclaimed pop culture show by Joss Whedon. Everyone knows about it, everyone loves it somewhat, and now it’s getting a comic book series under BOOM!. This series was under the guidance of Whedon. The series follows Buffy Summers, who wants what every average teenager wants. Buffy wants friends at her new school, decent grades, and to escape her imposed destiny as the next in a long line of vampire slayers tasked with defeating the forces of evil.

However, her world looks a lot more like the ones outside your window… Buffy is going on a new era with Jordie and Russ Manning bringing in a new Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Summers is going to have new challenges, new friends, and even new enemies you might recognize. Nonetheless, the more they stay the same, the more the gang faces brand new big bads. The threat lurking beneath Sunnydale High isn’t anything similar to what they’ve known before. High school is hell…

The Television Series That The New Comic Series Is Based On

Buffy The Vampire Slayer made its debut on WB (when WB Network existed) on March 10th, 1997. The show ran for seven seasons in 1997-2003 and starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as the main protagonist, Buffy Summers. Throughout the series, many other famous 90s actors and actresses made a debut on the television series as well.

Buffy Summers battles vampires, demons, and other dark forces. She is aided by ‘The Watcher,’ who guides and teaches her as she surrounds herself with a circle of friends called the ‘Scooby Gang.’ If you haven’t seen the series, go watch it now – it’s on Hulu. You can find it at your local comic book shops (comicshoplocator.com). For more of BOOM! you can find them at BOOM! (website) or Twitter.
