‘God Eater’ Premiere Delayed And Replaced with Special

The official website of God Eater has just announced that ufotable has postponed the broadcast of the first episode of the anime.

The premiere was scheduled to air on July 5th on Tokyo MX TV but will now be replaced with a TV special called “God Eater Extra”. The first episode has been delayed until next week. The official website and official Twitter account will be the ones to reveal the broadcast time in the near future.

Previously, the preview screening of the episode in Tokyo’s Akihabara UDX Theater from June 28th was also cancelled by ufotable due to “production-related circumstances”. This time, the staff has apologized to fans and clarified that the delay of this first episode is because they want to “deliver a work with a quality level that fans can approve of.”

Let’s look at the bright side: besides that God Eater Prologue from 2009, we’ll also have this special to prepare ourselves better for when this very hyped series comes!
