‘First Person’ Web Series Recommendation

0

Ever wished for a show about gender identity, sexuality and queer community? Then you might as well have everything you wished for with First Person. I thought it was about time to give this web series some exposure, especially since I haven’t seen it featured in many sites, and it’s really a shame. This queer-based show is from WNET Interactive Engagement Group and PBS Digital Studios and hosted by Kristin Russo of Everyone is Gay.

Contrary to what one might believe (and what I believed), First Person doesn’t just dedicate one episode for every LGBT group. It goes beyond that and it touches all kinds of queer topics. So far, they have covered trans, bisexual erasure, queering fashion, coming out in sports, feminine men not wanted and race, visibility & safe spaces.

Episodes are usually 6 to 10 minutes long. New episodes come out every other Thursday. Make sure to subscribe on their channel to get the latest episodes! You won’t regret it!

You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Google +.
