Fairy Tail Gets Its First Stage Play Adaptation

A stage play adaptation of the popular manga by Hiro Mashima Fairy Tail has been green-lit.

Surprisingly, this is the first stage play that the manga has ever gotten. The play will run at the Sunshine Theatre in Ikebukuro (Tokyo) from April 30th to May 9th, 2016. HERE‘s the official Japanese website for the stage play.

As per the cast and crew, not much is known yet. Shuuto Miyazaki, a member of male actor group D-BOYS, will play the role of Natsu Dragneel, while Akiko Kodama (Live Spectacle Naruto stage play director) will be in charge of directing the production and writing the script.

The franchise has also recently gotten a prequel anime that’s going to start airing in January: Fairy Tail 0.
